CCM Hockey is recalling its Hybrid Visor and Replacement Visor accessory

CCM is recalling the CCM Hybrid Visor (model FMHVR) and the Replacement Visor accessory (model ACCHVR). These products were sold online and through retailers from May 2024 to April 2026. The recalled FMHVR products are marked with the identifier "HVR" on the outer surface of the metal plate that attaches the polycarbonate visor to the cage, on the right side (when looking through the visor). If the top of the metal plate reads HVR (above the CCM text), the product is subject to the recall. The serial number for the recalled ACCHVR visors begins with the letters "SR". The serial number is engraved into the polycarbonate in the upper right corner of the visor (when looking through the visor).

Why is the product dangerous?

Micro-cracks may form in the polycarbonate part of the visor around the screw holes, behind the assembly plates. This can cause the polycarbonate part of the visor to crack if the area around the screw holes is subjected to a strong impact, which may pose a risk to the user.

What should you do?

Consumers should stop using the product immediately and return it to the nearest participating retailer. Consumers must first complete the recall form at: https://ccmhockey.com/en-en/recallform.html

Consumer compensation

Consumers who own a recalled product will be offered a replacement full face shield.
